The Kingdom Brothers

Out on parole, white-collar grifter Cornelius Taylor is scraping by when his old partner reappears with an outrageous scheme and a payday to match. With little more than tin badges and balls of brass, they impersonate US marshals, bluff their way into supermax, get their man—a notorious hate-crime killer, the devil himself—and walk out. Cornelius takes the bait and they do the job. But there is no payday. Turns out his old partner is an agent for the Kingdom Brotherhood, a Christian nationalist terror network. Cornelius has been conned and is now mixed up in the acts of violent revolution. Working with a gun to his back, a partner he can’t trust, and law enforcement is breathing down his neck, Cornelius musters all of his skills as a con man to perpetrate a loony cloak-and-dagger scheme that, if successful, might—just might—save his hide, send the devil back into the hole forever, and wipe the Kingdom Brotherhood out of existence.
